Past, Present & Future

This website hopes to achieve three things. Firstly, it aims to inform people about the history of a magnificent building, and its importance to the Scone community past and present. Secondly, it seeks to provide a digital archive of historical material for future research. Finally, it hopes to entertain.

Thank you to Dianne Chad and Margaret Ashford-Macdougall for recording your memories of the theatre so that the community can enjoy these stories. Thank you to Andrew McPhee for the guided tour of the theatre, the numerous conversations on the up-and-coming restoration, the memories you have shared, and your continued enthusiasm for recording the theatre's history.  Thank you to Minas Coroneo for providing the opportunity for me to pursue this project - your continued support from the beginning has been much appreciated. The Scone community is very grateful of your plans for the theatre's future. Thank you to the staff at the NSW State Records Office. Thank you to Michaela Cameron for your detailed and highly useful advice on a range of topics including: social media, web design, and museum displays.
